While that question wasn't addressed to me, my case was similar to what
Katherine described, so here's my take on it:
Coming from latest Firefox, IceCat on GuixSD felt ridiculously slow.
Hidden-HTML warnings and the LibreJS thing were unbearably annoying. I
understand the reasoning behind LibreJS, but to me, personally, it is
akin to fighting in a lost war instead of getting to the information I
want here and now.
After disabling everything IceCat comes with, I found the replacement
Add-on pages to be misdesigned for the context they appear in. I did not
succeed in installing uMatrix, one of the few add-ons I care about.
