It is about outputs [1].  Some packages have more than one output.  For
instance,

$ guix show git | recsel -p outputs
outputs: 
+ send-email: [description missing]

+ credential-netrc: [description missing]
+ credential-libsecret: [description missing]
+ subtree: [description missing]

It means that “git:send-email” provides “git send-email” for not
necessary Git itself.
