system reconfigure fails over an nfts storage .

Hi. I need help in solving the following issue:

Trying to mount an external usb hdd i add in /etc/config.scm :

/etc/config.scm :
  (file-systems (cons* (file-system
                         (mount-point "/")
                         (device (uuid
                                  "c4ac8e24-4952-4cd3-84dd-c457867e1494"
                                  'ext4))
                         (type "ext4"))       
                       (file-system
                        (mount-point "/home/chomwitt/ExternalHDD")
                        (device (uuid "217F991C18987AC44"))
                         (type "ntfs")(options
"uid=1000,gid=999,dmask=0002,fmask=0113")) 

But trying to reconfigure my guix system i get:
$  sudo guix system reconfigure /etc/config.scm
/etc/config.scm:91:32: error: (uuid "217F991C18987AC44" (quote dce)):
invalid UUID

Inserting my self the line:
UUID=217F991C18987AC44  /home/chomwitt/ExternalHDD
ntfsuid=1000,gid=999,dmask=0002,fmask=0113

and $ sudo mount -a   
it worked .

Based on my reading of the file gnu/system/uuid.scm, I might instead
try the line

  (device (uuid "217F991C18987AC44" 'ntfs)

in the hope of selecting the NTFS decoder string->ntfs-uuid [1] in the
dispatching function. [2]

Indeed that helped. Although i dont understand why it should be
declared twice that it's ntfs.

It's because without it, Guix assumes [1] that all UUID are in the
form specified by the Distributed Computing Environment (DCE). [2]
