Hello Guix!
I came across this Fingerprint GUI application (http://www.ullrich-online.cc/fingerprint/index.php (http://www.ullrich-online.cc/fingerprint/index.php)). Is this completely free of blobs and will it be compatible with Guix?

The upek folder in the source I downloaded seems to contain compiled shared libraries in the lib and lib64 subfolders, so that's a bad sign.

From the Readme:
Fingerprint GUI is based on the libfprint library. Additionally, you may
install the bundled non-free libbsapi library. In this case Fingerprint GUI
will automatically support all fingerprint readers manufactured by UPEK,
Inc.
Thus I assume one could remove the upex directory and it would be Guix
compatible.
Also https://launchpad.net/~fingerprint/+archive/ubuntu/fingerprint-gui
might be helpful.

While I haven't tried this GUI yet, I should note that I've been
able to fprintd-{enroll,verify} without any blobs with my
~ λ lsusb
Bus 001 Device 003: ID 147e:2020 Upek TouchChip Fingerprint
Coprocessor (WBF advanced mode)
so it might not be so bad even then.
