    Unfortunately, I could not build an Info file out of the Texinfo
    file; the distribution lacks a .txt file for `makeinfo' to use:

Now that Emacs can display images, it would be useful to extend the
Info file format so it can include images, and update Texinfo so it
can handle them.

Perhaps the Info file should cointain the file name of a text image
file and the file name of a real image file; then, depending on the 
kind of display, the Info displayer can use one kind of image
or the other.
