When I have the attached email in my `inbox` and hit ENTER on the email
(notmuch-search-show-thread here), Emacs crashes completely with:

I can't duplicate this here (at least not with emacs -q). I suspect we
have pretty similar Debian environments, but maybe try moving your
.emacs.d/eln-cache out of the way.\r

I keep forgetting those tricks, sorry. I didn't do anything (other than
restarting emacs and rebooting and I can'T reproduce this issue
anymore...

So I guess whenever i'll see those backtraces next, i'll flush the cache
and retry.

Still, one has to wonder: if emacs can just dump core if someone messes
with my eln-cache, that's... bad, no?

(I guess you can do pretty much *anything* if you get to mess with that
folder anyways, which also makes me quite uncomfortable... but you have
a lisp machine or you do not, i guess...)

Yes, it is bad, but the native compilation functionality is new, so
hopefully things will get better over time.\r
