Subject: [bug#55298] [PATCH 0/1] Do not propagate cwltool inputs.
Date: Sat, 7 May 2022 15:04:43 +0530 [thread overview]
Message-ID: <20220507093443.4214-1-arunisaac@systemreboot.net> (raw)
cwltool is a command-line tool, not a python library. So, its dependencies
should be regular inputs, not propagated inputs. In fact, as it stands
currently, installing cwltool fails due to a package conflict.
--8<---------------cut here---------------start------------->8---
$ guix install cwltool
The following package would be installed:
cwltool 3.1.20220119140128
guix install: error: profile contains conflicting entries for python-rdflib
guix install: error: first entry: python-rdflib@5.0.0 /gnu/store/lxy384l7avd0q4dmfs0zywllb9221y7x-python-rdflib-5.0.0
guix install: error: ... propagated from python-prov@2.0.0
guix install: error: ... propagated from cwltool@3.1.20220119140128
guix install: error: second entry: python-rdflib@6.1.1 /gnu/store/2f88f2w44zsvmx8m6ymp1fywiw1h379x-python-rdflib-6.1.1
guix install: error: ... propagated from python-rdflib-jsonld@0.6.2
guix install: error: ... propagated from python-schema-salad@8.2.20211116214159
guix install: error: ... propagated from cwltool@3.1.20220119140128
hint: You cannot have two different versions or variants of `cwltool' in the same profile.
