install guix 1.0.0, only pick xfce desktop environment
when you log in there's no "Network Connections" in Applications > Settings, and there's no network applet in the panel
What I did to work around it:
sudo nmtui to connect to wifiguix install network-manager
guix install network-manager-applet
log out and back in again
there's a network applet in the panel, and "Network Connections" can be found under Applications > Settings.
