Hello,

I've just tried restarting the networking service and noticed about the
following:

--8<---------------cut here---------------start------------->8---
$ sudo herd restart networking
Password:
Service dockerd has been stopped.
Service guix-publish has been stopped.
Service avahi-daemon has been stopped.
Service nfs has been stopped.
Service rpc.nfsd has been stopped.
Service wireguard-wg0 has been stopped.
Service rpc.mountd has been stopped.
Service rpc.statd has been stopped.
Service idmap-daemon has been stopped.
Service rpcbind-daemon has been stopped.
Service hurd-vm has been stopped.
Service ntpd has been stopped.
Service networking has been stopped.
Service networking has been started.
Service ntpd has been started.
secret service: sending secrets to 11004
secret service: connected; waiting for handshake...
herd: exception caught while executing 'start' on service 'hurd-vm':
In procedure fport_read: Connection reset by peer
--8<---------------cut here---------------end--------------->8---

It's probably caused by hurd-vm attempting to restart before the network
is up again.

Thanks,

Maxim
