Message not saved to *Messages*:

*Messages* does show this:

| Saving file c:/dkc/archive-wbai-org-asof-25oct10.txt...
| Loading help-mode...done
| Please answer yes or no. <<<============================= only THIS shows up here.
| Wrote c:/dkc/archive-wbai-org-asof-25oct10.txt

But, the message that ALSO needs to end up in *Messages* is this (from mini-buf):

  Selected encoding chinese-iso-8bit-dos disagrees with
iso-latin-1-dos specified by file contents. really save (else edit
coding cookies and try again? (yes or no)

Without that 2nd part, you haven't enough info.

(Assuming you are later going back over *Messages*, reviewing
what you did and *should* instead have done, maybe.)

Ideas?

David

This part is a prompt, albeit a long one, and prompts (like the one
you get when you type "C-x C-f", which says "Find file: DEFAULT") are
not logged in the *Messages* buffer. This is normal.

Well, maybe normal, but not too useful when you want
to go back over what you did (or responded to, from emacs),
so as to not do it (whatever "it" was) again.

Could be a 2nd queue, of commands recently executed.

Could be VERY useful!

Thanks,

David
