Should be part of the recent "Stop frames stealing each others'
minibuffers!" rampage.  We can look into it when the dust settles -
there are still bugs to fix and riddles to solve in that area.  Till
then it would be good to try the patch on Emacs 27 to catch any
anomalies ...
