Cute, and `identity' also works with `cl-position-if' ...
(cl-some #'identity '(nil nil)) ; nil
(cl-some #'identity '(nil 1)) ; 1
(cl-position-if #'identity '(nil nil)) ; nil
(cl-position-if #'identity '(nil 1)) ; 1
