Although I see no locks:

$ bzr info bzr+ssh://antipov@bzr.savannah.gnu.org/emacs
Shared repository (format: unnamed)
Location:
   shared repository: bzr+ssh://antipov@bzr.savannah.gnu.org/emacs/

there is one:

$ bzr push
Using saved push location: bzr+ssh://antipov@bzr.savannah.gnu.org/emacs/trunk/
Unable to obtain lock held by Dmitry Antipov <antipov@vcs.savannah.gnu.org> on vcs.savannah.gnu.org (process #29533), acquired 1 hour, 41 minutes ago.
See "bzr help break-lock" for more.
bzr: ERROR: Could not acquire lock "(remote lock)": bzr+ssh://antipov@bzr.savannah.gnu.org/emacs/

and I can't break it with 'bzr break-lock bzr+ssh://antipov@bzr.savannah.gnu.org/emacs',
even with --force.

This happens from time to time. Why, and how to avoid it?

Dmitry

I generally just use "bzr break-lock" without any further argument,
which seems to check the remote site as well (after checking the local
locks). But that's with a bound branch,

You might also try "bzr break-lock
bzr+ssh://antipov@bzr.savannah.gnu.org/emacs/trunk/".
