And there’s the soon-to-be-released Emacs 24.4 that will work just fine on them. :-)
I doubt that people running such an old operating system have any illusions about being able to run all the latest and greatest software.

Please note that there are still quite some 10.6.8 installations
around since it was the last version of Mac OS X to include Rosetta.
