If you use for example easy-menu-change there is no way to add a help
text to the menu tree you are adding. Adding help text to the subitems
is easy.
I believe a help text to the added entry could be very useful.

One of the ideas of easy-menu-change is compatibility with XEmacs.
So if we want to add such a feature, it would be important to discuss
the interface with the XEmacs developers.
Would you like to do that?
