Specifying just NEW-FACE is a special case of specifying a list of
faces.  So I think it is redundant to have a special way to specify
just one face.  It's extra complexity that adds nothing really.

This specification uses the first face in the list, NEW-FACE, last.  I
think it should use these faces in the order they appear.
