That'd be a reason to look for another maintainer, but not to remove it
from GNU ELPA.

In the Ampc page of Emacswiki[1]:
ampc is not supported any more. There will be a replacement soon.

Maybe the replacement will be go into the GNU ELPA.

I would like to accept code contributions from individuals who are not
allowed or do not want to assign their copyright to the FSF.

I do not like source code being distributed on the internet via plain
text protocols with no digital signature.

ampc is not going anywhere. The code can be found over at

    http://ch.ristopher.com/git/?p=ampc;a=summary

I welcome forks, of course.

        Christopher
