Any objections to, or advice on, adding xpm-fulmination.el to ELPA?
A snapshot is at:

 http://www.gnuvola.org/z.3MzFQeDd/xpm-fulmination.el

(I would touch it up a bit, first, of course.)

Hopefully, any references to "fulmination" will go away then.

(Btw, why not just add this to image.el?)

Any replacement suggestions? The original inspiration was a bolt of
lightning zapping the ground (repeatedly), leaving mysterious marks.

(Btw, why not just add this to image.el?)

One reason is that it's XPM-specific, but maybe that also can go away.

"Fulmination" does not seem to be very helpful at explaining what it does
(to me it reminds me vaguely of Fiumicino), so I'd recommend changing
this part of the name.

Maybe xpm-edit? Or xpm-draw?

OK, xpm-edit it is, then.

   OK, xpm-edit it is, then.

I started w/ "xpm-edit", then moved to "ezxpm"
(inspired by "easy-kill"), but now am thinking,
why not simply "xpm"? Any objections?

Fine. But if so, it'd be nice to add an xpm-mode to it.

Yes. This will happen, but probably not for the first release.

I have just pushed ephemeral branch ‘ttn-xpm’ which includes the
intended first client (gnugo-d0.el) to illustrate the release strategy
(basically: xpm.el and xpm-m2z-circle.el in xpm 1.0 first, then gnugo
3.0.0, then xpm-mode and Much More in xpm 1.1, and so on). Included are
several "???" -- feedback on those items requested and very much welcome!

You don't need to create a new branch. You can just add the package
directly in the main branch. Use "Version: -1" to ensure it doesn't get
released (yet) as a package in GNU ELPA.

Other than that, looks fine, thanks,

        Stefan

Yes i know. I chose a separate branch to avoid doing (what i consider)
proper commit messages.

Thanks for taking a look.
