Dear emacs-devel digest subscribers,

I'd like to get one digest a day. Sometimes we get as many as 30, and
sometimes there's only one message per digest. The reason seems to be
that mailman is configured to send out a digest immediately, rather than
waiting until the end of the day, if it is over 30kB. I suggest that we
change this limit to 10MB. Probably that limit will never trigger, so
we will get daily digests, but just in case it will prevent messages so
large that any mailers can't handle them.

Any objections?

                                        Ken

I think 10MB is too much: it could run afoul of someone's limit on
email storage. We should probably set it lower, 1MB or somesuch (if
no one objects to that figure). And yes, there are rare situations
where we have a barrage of messages that could exceed these numbers
during a single day.

That said, I don't use the digest option for this list, so my opinion
is not very important.
