Hi,

It seems to me that Emacs.icns is not copied to
nextstep/Contents/Emacs.app when latest Emacs head is build for Mac.

Emacs.icns is copied to nextstep/Emacs.app/Contents/Resources/, there is no nextstep/Contents/Emacs.app directory.

Sorry but I wrote a wrong path. I meant
nextstep/Emacs.app/Contents/Resources/.

Did you build the latest Emacs head and confirm that the file is
actually copied?

Yes I did. Try make clean, and make again.

Thank you for this information.

I understand this is a bug of parallel build. Emacs.icns is copied
when "-j" is not specified to "make". But it is not copied with "-j".

I can't see this either. Is it just one file missing?  Do you have Contents/PkgInfo or any other file in Resources (there should be three)?

Somehow the nextstep/Makefile thinks nextstep/Emacs.app is up to date.  This could happen before, but a fix is in the trunk.  Are you running trunk?  If not, do a 
% touch nextstep/Cocoa/Emacs.base

Yes.

I did this just in case but "make -j" did not copy the necessary
files.

Here is what I used:

	% touch nextstep/Cocoa/Emacs.base
	% make maintainer-clean
	% ./autogen.sh
	% CFLAGS='-g3 -O0' ./configure --with-ns
	% make -j3 install

I did that but did not get the error, so it is a race that depends on your machine probably.
Ca you do the above but slightly different:

% make -j3 install 2>&1 | tee make.out

and then send me make.out?
