With the latest build (built from git HEAD) Info-directory-list is
broken like so:
It appears to t randomly truncate the value of that variable if you
have a lot of elpa packages installed, so mine end s up looking like
this:

No I haven't, but I see that emacs seems to be setting it to 10, is
that a new Andreas Schwab writes: change?

rebuilding emacs this morning seems to have made the problem disappear
