I tried with these two systems successfully:
server & library: XFree86 4.3.0
server & library: X.Org 6.7.0
server: OpenWindows 11.0(Solaris 2.6), library: XFree86 4.3.0
So, no, I didn't try X.org 6.8.2 which I don't have.
