Miles Bader is working on it -- he's currently looking at the diffs
between the Gnus in Emacs and Gnus 5.10.

FWIW, I was looking at the diffs between Emacs Gnus and Gnus 5.8, on the
theory that would be a much smaller patch with almost all changes in
Emacs, so I could come up with an `Emacs Changes' patch, and then apply
that to 5.10 -- of course the reality seems much weirder...
