I do M-x shell and TAB (comint-dynamic-complete) needs help to get it
to show choices:
ESC x s h e l l RET l s SPC TAB TAB TAB TAB TAB TAB . / TAB
It would be reasonable to make this work like TAB in Bash
in the same circumstances. That seems to do nothing when typed
the first time, and display a list of all completions when
typed a second time consecutively. I'm not going to work on this
myself, but I wouldn't be opposed if someone wants to do it.
