In emacs -Q:
(defalias 'foo 'foo2)
C-h f foo RET
With Emacs 25.3:
-> foo is an alias for 'foo2', which is not defined. Please make a bug report.
With Emacs 26.0.90:
-> Invalid function: nil
By experiment, this is due to 2d99269.
