This is a feature request for Emacs to have horizontal scroll bars.  It's
2010 and it's about time.  :)

Seriously, I don't always have access to a 1600x1200 display, and even
then looking at long log lines is a pain with keyboard scrolling.

I would consider donating to the project or a specific volunteer to get
this implemented.

Horizontal scroll bars should appear in Emacs 24.5.
