Trying to use hexl-mode with Emacs.app (generated with make install on MacOS) bundle
yeilds this message:
hexlify-buffer: Searching for program: No such file or directory,
/Users/user/emacs/nextstep/Emacs.app/Contents/MacOS/libexec/hexl
And the bundle doesn't seem to include hexl at all
In GNU Emacs 28.0.50 (build 1, x86_64-apple-darwin20.5.0, NS appkit-2022.50 Version 11.4 (Build 20F71))
of 2021-08-27 built on mbp-2018.local

I've pushed a fix to master, it looks like lib-src/Makefile.in was
missed when we made some changes to the installation for bundled apps
on macOS with native compilation.
Can you give it a go and let us know if it fixes this problem for you?
