I tried to remove a label in rmail-mode (k == rmail-kill-label)
It neither reported an error nor removed the label

Looking a litle closer I think it did kill the label but not the
X-RMAIL-KEYWORDS line entry so I tought it had not done it.
   So probably not really a bug -- just an oddity

Works for me. In every message, or just one? Recipe from emacs -Q?
What does the X-RMAIL-KEYWORDS: header look like?

Now removing the last label deletes the X-RMAIL-KEYWORDS header altogether.
