When we enter *Summary nndraft:drafts* the cursor is on the first article.
When we enter *Summary nnml:mail.misc* the cursor is on the last  article.
Nothing in (info "(gnus) Group Parameters") can change this.

'See (info "(gnus) Sorting the Summary Buffer")' one might say. Alas I
am not talking about sorting. I am talking about which line the cursor
is on when we enter the group.

In (info "(gnus) Various Summary Stuff") there is a
gnus-summary-mode-hook that apparently is our last resort to manually
fix this inconsistency.

My hunch is not many people have a lot of drafts, so never felt bad
about having to page down to see the most recent.

Yes, but initial cursor position needs to be not hardwired to that!!

OK, so there are several workarounds:

Here is the effect I want to achieve:

It is just like, with the cursor on the drafts group, doing:

 g			 ;; gnus-group-get-new-news
 <return>		 ;; gnus-group-select-group
 <end>			 ;; end-of-buffer
 q			 ;; gnus-summary-exit
 <return>		 ;; gnus-group-select-group

Now our cursor is nicely centered on the last article, just like in all
our other groups.

OK, there is no drafts related hook. So using one of gnus-*-hook
we need to implant that last article number into gnus' concept of where
we were reading, but only after a gnus-group-get-new-news command, and
only for the drafts group.
