Load emacs using 'emacs -Q'

Then type:
M-x calc

Calc does not start, an error message is reported:
Cannot open load file: No such file or directory, calc-loaddefs.el

I cannot reproduce this.  I'm guessing your build didn't succeed, or
something went wrong with it.

Do you have calc-loaddefs.el in the calc subdirectory?  If not, try
saying "make" in the top-level directory of the Emacs tree, and see if
the file gets regenerated.

If the PPA doesn't include the calc-loaddefs.el file, then the problem
should be reported to them.

So I don't think this is a problem on the Emacs side, and I'm closing
this bug report.
