In Section 39.13.4 Fringe Bitmaps of the elisp manual, there is:
‘empty-line’, ‘exclamation-mark’, ‘question-mark’, ‘exclamation-mark’
Not used by core Emacs features.
But empty-line is used to indicate unused lines when
indicate-unused-lines is t.
In GNU Emacs 27.0.91 (build 1, x86_64-pc-linux-gnu, GTK+ Version
3.24.13, cairo version 1.16.0)
of 2020-04-23 built on desktop
