Subject line says it all. This global var affects completion behavior,
and is not documented.

It doesn't appear to be a user variable. Why do you think it should be
documented?

Emacs users include Emacs Lisp users. Nothing limits doc strings for variables
to user options.

Why do you think it should not be documented? At least one user has asked that
it be documented - taken the time to file a bug/enhancement report for it.

I wish he could take the time to setup Bzr access and make those
changes himself.

Glad to hear you agree this should be fixed.

There's no shortage of things to fix. Many of the ones you report are
much too low on the priority queue, so they just waste my time.

We agree about that too. And more being created everyday. ;-)

Stefan, I agree. I am counting on you to bring more features to elisp.

Drew,

Really hope you can join force with emacs. You have excellent writing
skills that many of us don't have and you care a lot about users (not
just elisp authors) and usability. I think emacs can benefit from some
of your talents.

Leo

Indeed.

It's an internal variable, not to be used by any users, and not used
outside the code that would naturally refer to it, and it means just
what anybody would think it means. So, closing.
