It remains tricky to explain, as there quite a couple of ifs and whens.
As an aside: my experience seems to suggest that the product of
"complexity of implementation" and "complexity of documentation" is
likely constant.
What I suggested seems like an improvement over the status-quo, as it
explains things that are currently not mentioned. Frankly, I don't
intend to spend more time on this. Thus, in case you wanted to give it a
try to improve it, I'd certainly welcome that.
