Subject: How to limit display of habits in Agenda view
Date: Tue, 31 Dec 2024 13:23:03 +0100	[thread overview]
Message-ID: <CAH-0+bDSojyALz7X9xZ6dJCvksZ3534TcZqYGVj3d5Kxo-Nc5A@mail.gmail.com> (raw)

I just discovered org-habit, but I don't fully understand how to
configure the appearance of habits in the Agenda view. Let's start
with my current setup (org 9.7.11 and Emacs 31.0.50 on Linux)

(setq org-habit-preceding-days 1)
(setq org-habit-following-days 1)
(setq org-habit-show-habits-only-for-today nil)

I'd expect the habit to show up in my Agenda 1 day before and 1 day
after its scheduled time. But right now I see every habit for the next
two weeks, all the time. When I set
org-habit-show-habits-only-for-today to nil, I see nothing (well
except the ones for the current day).

Is there no way to specify when scheduled habits show up in my agenda?
org-habit-preceding-days is just for the visual property of the graph?
Or am I missing something.
