I've just tried to start emacs 24.3.90.1 without success, and it

I eventually tracked it down to lines 2248 and 2284 of "org-loaddefs.el"

It always shows up in 24.3.90.1 and stops it from fully loading,
whereas in 24.4.50.x there is no problem.
