This is what was shown in the minibuffer when appropriate keys were pressed - =2D-8<---------------cut here---------------start------------->8--- is undefined -- M+f1 is undefined -- M+f2 is undefined -- M+f3 =2D-8<---------------cut here---------------end--------------->8--- Essentially the only viable, working, key in emacs on the 'F-key row' was 'F5'! So I'm now back on my old keyboard, and back to working as usual, but still unable to sort any lists.=20 Thanks Sharon. =2D-=20 A taste of linux =3D http://www.sharons.org.uk TGmeds =3D http://www.tgmeds.org.uk Debian 8.0, fluxbox 1.3.7, emacs 24.5.50.1 --=-=-= Content-Type: application/pgp-signature; name="signature.asc" -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1 iQIcBAEBCgAGBQJVcw82AAoJEDaBgBkK+INbTgwQAJ4cHcXvz39n2P8rnTf8zUOB XUMKVC/WiXMNoWMyogwbzL3YQcfq2xLtTJn/9r9QqwzyGmNaLji1dP74lcRZHW7r /LaIn26wDiRxKYZwOMn9bkguyaoGltBysaT2UY04ULH50k6aICLchHutOBSYoQbo XTN8g5GzJWGyy6XWuPSeEcUSiZdpnISc+EHyq5fuduxW6D1c8ah7XL3H5djg9M7X YwU1/OavGOFL4nkfxnlpgqtKL9qYI+xyqqQHLeVWj6Wt5r+UU+hUq83zrCnE3JvW mSq3zBzCHPOcOW5qljCNgHox6RXpgyxpAEsNlGDGkUqVfCSgoqHbk8n6x2lV93hi b/tXwube4ssPeu68FodTCdCc9bGxBKKkhn9Bn44UOYkvQywxFIw11s5uuwuOAfh1 YD1T5HRISo5DcSUH4S/wrigvSleGDhRD9uy/iC4dG7IhBbgPCVK3VUpeqTKqmbWi 1zN7uuHHcC1NbJmkuzpqH2txthLGtGJOzuYPuS7ocEiYtb7Yb2Y3gFuLXLNrHT94 E0SnTKi8yq+hMtMiboTZue6bqTY9fsehcN7+37wfk0ylm5kHt3qXDM4sJxJW42F5 7WqS3ZWHC0rLZdNCnl2jWa9g4bG4q2LFqF+/Wzt6ERuPQdMNTAo6NFQLAqS4WIZW bjyV3FtMutVTvGcSWLgp =glL/ -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- --=-=-=--
