this happens also if it is manually selected the region between=20=20
"* Subtree " and "subtree 1" and exported with C-c C-e

The html export works ok.

Actually,  it works *only* for the lines without "*"

J=C3=B6rg in the meanwhile you may write a function, to post-process your
column-view, that=20
either deletes "*"
or=20
substitutes "| * <- space" with "| "
