When replying to mail, notmuch normally inserts the cited email using
'message-cite-original'. That function doesn't apply any citation style
settings from message-cite-style — message-yank-buffer does that before
(eventually) getting down to message-cite-original.
It seems that using message-yank-original "just works" for me as a
setting for notmuch-mua-cite-function, and now the settings from
message-cite-style do get applied.
With this, it would be easy to add gnus-style auto-selection of
message-cite-style based on header contents, so I can reply to work
email in 'outlook' style while replying to regular email in 'normal'
style.
