What do you think about the approach in

     id:"1309422050-23241-1-git-send-email-pieter@praet.org"

I sortof like the idea of having with and without prefix bindings.

Or maybe we could provide a prefix argument (getit? ;) ) so that C-u c i
adds the prefix.
