There is:
$ notmuch --version
notmuch 0.5
and
$ notmuch config ...
for querying things from ~/.notmuch-config
It would be great to be able to ask notmuch:
- against what versions of libraries it was compiled,
- what configure flags where used,
- what database format it is using
- whether the database is compacted
- ...
