Having just installed the latest from the OpenSUSE Tumbleweed repos, attempting to use notmuch receives this error:
notmuch: symbol lookup error: notmuch: undefined symbol: notmuch_query_create_with_syntax
I have been using it happily for the last few years, and hope to regain my workflow soon. Any suggestions?

I'm not involved with OpenSUSE packaging, but it sounds like your
notmuch binaries are finding an older version of the notmuch library
(perhaps a private install, or perhaps you just need to update the
library package).

Ah; that seems to have done the trick. After reinstalling from the repo several times, I downloaded the latest "release" and it worked. Thanks!
