Subject: notmuch INSTALL file outdated?
Hi David,
Hi Carl,
I write to you because you're the main contributors to the INSTALL file in the
notmuch repository (according to git-shortlog -sne).
From what I see, the INSTALL file tells me
Note: Notmuch will work best with Xapian 1.0.18 (or later) or
Xapian 1.1.4 (or later).
but if I compile notmuch, it requires xapian >= 1.4.0, from the configure
output:
Reading libnotmuch version from source... OK.
Checking for Xapian development files (>= 1.4.0)... No.
Checking for GMime development files (>= 3.0.3)... No.
Checking for Glib development files (>= 2.22)... No.
so I question whether the INSTALL file is up to date.
Please double-check :-)
Have a nice Sunday,
best,
Matthias

Mathias Beyer [1] points out that this note is redudant since Xapian
no longer builds with the problematic versions of Xapian.
