No worries, I started working on a more generic indexheader approach
which should be usable by more than just Gentoo:

Perhaps you can give that a shot instead of xarchiveshash.

I also did some unpublished work to extend it to extindex, and then
totally spaced on it due to other problems (OOMs, real life stuff).

Perhaps &l=1 (limit: 1) query parameter can be special-cased to
be a "I'm Feeling Lucky" 302 redirect.  Or add another query parameter...
