It seems to only happen with HTTP(S) externals, and
not in a FreeBSD VM, only bare metal Debian.

I can't seem to reproduce it consistently, at all.

Been staring at the LeiSavedSearch and query_remote_mboxrd
off and on for a few days while testing dedupe and can't
seem to notice any problems.

Maybe the maxuid guard for locals is hiding the bug...
