Subject: Tomorrow (11th) - Reproducible builds talk by Vagrant Cascadian
Date: Wed, 10 Jul 2024 20:24:33 +0100	[thread overview]
Message-ID: <h4m4lr56xqb4tgqzskgg47mq5s2ykaalb52ywuqlhgiucjwcox@s4mytwj5nijv> (raw)

Hi all,

Tomorrow (Thursday 11th) there'll be an online talk about reproducible builds by Vagrant Cascadian, Guix contributor and a long-time Debian developer. Reproducible builds is a really interesting area for security and the authenticity of the software stack - but how do you create them, and how can you debug issues when there are problems? Vagrant will be delving into the magic and giving us hints and tips we can use in our own packaging.

The talk will be at these times:

17:00 UTC, 18:00 BST (London), 19:00 CEST (Paris), 13:00 EDT (New York)

Join directly this Jitsi:

  https://meet.jit.si/london-guix-meetup

And if you'd like to be notified about future talks you can join the Wiki page or the Meet-up:

https://libreplanet.org/wiki/Group:Guix/PatchReviewSessions2024

We have talks coming up later in the summer by both Jgart and Ekaitz.

In other news, we'll be changing the meet-up to be called Guix.social to identify the fact that it's online and everyone is welcome to come along. There will still be a Guix London, but that will be reserved for the physical meet-up in London, UK.

Thanks,

Steve / Futurile (on-behalf of the Guix.social team)
