FWIW x86_64 is not a valid triple, you need something like

   --target=aarch64-linux-gnu

or
   --target=x86_64-linux-gnu

or
   --target=i686-pc-gnu # or was it i586?

though that won't work either because emacs-build-system doesn't
support cross-compilation yet.
