For instance a user with a browser and tons of open > tabs may need more RAM for Guix. I have a virtual machine that essentially runs an nginx instance and had 1GB of memory. This was not enough to do a "guix pull". I asked the people who provide the machine to me to ramp up to 2GB, but this was still not enough. Now I dare not ask for more, as I already felt ridiculous enough asking for 2GB for what essentially amounts to "apt-get update". This is not exactly good advertisement for our system... Andreas
