Hello,

I'm writing this because I haven't been able to update Guix for almost a month. I get this error message:

"builder for `/gnu/store/6nd6gwxr7pg6b3wfjlf9yxb8xg7ap4n8-module-import-compiled.drv' failed with exit code 1
build of /gnu/store/6nd6gwxr7pg6b3wfjlf9yxb8xg7ap4n8-module-import-compiled.drv failed
View build log at '/var/log/guix/drvs/6n/d6gwxr7pg6b3wfjlf9yxb8xg7ap4n8-module-import-compiled.drv.bz2'.
cannot build derivation `/gnu/store/q001y6pila9bny57xm2lyv4q8mbvgprl-compute-guix-derivation.drv': 1 dependencies couldn't be built"

Is this a bug or is it something a normal user can fix on their own? I looked it up and nothing matched my specific case.

Looking forward to any feedback,
Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the note. Can you send the log file referred to in the error message?

And also the output of the command `guix describe`?

Hi all,

I have Guix on Trisquel 11.

"guix pull" gives the following:

There are only two commits because I ran "guix pull" before, but I re-ran it to check and set the C locales to get
English only.

I have the following packages installed:

darktable 4.2.0 out	/gnu/store/d0rzqd4d22k84ly3klkds1gayhycda9x-darktable-4.2.0
tootle 1.0 out	/gnu/store/x6d9xxqidvx34iz276df21k6g6vxh6h1-tootle-1.0

david@x200:~$

So I don't have any texlive package and I am a little surprised by the warnings.

Do I need to change something? Or just retry guix pull later?

Thanks,
David.

the warnings are harmless and can be ignored; it is guix that needs
the texlive packages behind the scenes.

The word "substitute" probably means that the connection to the substitute
server did not work out; I think you could simply try again (I also did
a "guix pull" earlier today, it should work).

Andreas
