Subject: Help: ModuleNotFoundError for toml in building python-jupytext-1.15.0.drv
Date: Sun, 15 Dec 2024 19:01:24 -0600	[thread overview]
Message-ID: <CAJ7XGSYcp+Dvb0pyt=5Ti16YHP8DSY0XK6ub3-g2rSCuVe0anA@mail.gmail.com> (raw)

Hi.
I have tried to update my GuixSystem installation over the past week
and system reconfigure is failing to build some derivations. The latest is
this error:
build of
/gnu/store/5x701598l7qy5j5shfvhh0xjycn0q868-python-jupytext-1.15.0.drv
failed

when I looked in the log file, it shows that check phase is failing with
the error message:
ModuleNotFoundError: No module named 'toml'

I've been using guix for a couple of years, so doing a "guix system
reconfigure" after "guix pull" is not new to me. But I have never
experienced a prolonged "system reconfigure" fail before, so I am not sure
what I am missing.

This is my current working version info:
