IIRC sympy 1.0 required a library called "mpmath" as well. It probably
doesn't fail right now because of bug #25177.

In any case we already have python-sympy@1.0 in the 'python-tests'
branch with commit 52f622ef9fd315945f37de921c9d46997d176692.

It will be merged to master as soon as the Hydra integration server is
back up in a day or two (hopefully!).
